Service Description
trysmallclaims provides document preparation and filing assistance for small claims court cases.
Not a Law Firm; No Attorney-Client Relationship
trysmallclaims is not a law firm and does not engage in the practice of law. Use of this site or our services does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and trysmallclaims. The information and documents we provide are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney. If you need legal advice for your specific situation, you should consult an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.
You Are the Named Party
You — not trysmallclaims — are the named party in any small claims action. You are responsible for reviewing the documents we prepare for accuracy and signing them. With your authorization, we then file your signed documents with the appropriate court as an administrative step on your behalf. We do not appear in court for you and do not represent you in any legal capacity. You attend any court hearings yourself, and service of process is performed by a sheriff or licensed process server you engage directly.
Document Preparation, Not Legal Strategy
We prepare court forms and demand letters based on the information you provide to us. We do not select which legal claims to bring, advise on which causes of action are appropriate, or render opinions on the merits or strategy of your case. Those decisions remain yours. General information we provide about the small claims process — including state-specific procedures, limits, and timelines — is for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
No Guarantee of Outcome
We cannot guarantee any specific outcome for your case. The judge makes the final decision based on the facts presented. Our services focus on helping you prepare the strongest possible case.
Fees and Payment
Our standard fee is $299 per case. This fee is non-refundable once document preparation has begun. Court filing fees are separate and paid directly to the court.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information about your case. You are responsible for filing documents with the court and attending hearings.
Limitation of Liability
trysmallclaims' liability is limited to the amount you paid for our services. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
